Key ingredients to accomplishing any goal are focus and consistency. The ability to set your sites on a goal, make proper preparations on a positive outcome and remain committed can often be that thin line between success and failure. And Jacksonville, Fla.-based rapper T.Rone is the perfect example of working a plan until the desired outcome.
Making music since his childhood years in the late 1990s, this highly motivated and talented central Florida phenomenon has been feeding the Sunshine State with more hits than Floyd Mayweather in a heavyweight fight. And he keeps the swift musical blows coming on his latest Kream Team/Syndicate Society offering The Cup of Lust boasting his latest single “Fuck You Love” and the remix to down South staple “Cocaine Girl” featuring 2 Chainz.
“Making music is my job and I take it very seriously. I want the world to embrace me,” says T.Rone. “I want to live forever through my music.”
Born and raised on Jacksonville’s Westside in the Sweetwater community, T.Rone came up hustling in the streets. From robbery attempts, street wars with rivals, police investigations, and losing friends and relatives to the penitentiary and grave, T.Rone never let any of those obstacles obstruct his path to greatness.
So instead of falling victim to the many pitfalls in the streets, T.Rone turned to music. He began recording songs as early as 1996 and released his first album Whatcha Game Like a year later.
His raw delivery took the streets by storm on hit singles "F@#* Boy” and “Whoa" and he quickly became a city celebrity. Shortly after the release of “Whoa,” former Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob coincidentally released a song with the same title.
At that time, T.Rone did not know the politics of the business, so many songs didn’t have the proper copyrights and as a result, bits and pieces of the entire project to be used by other major label artists. And while other artists gained national recognition, T.Rone earned respect in the city as one of the most influential artists to touch a mic.
Although he was frustrated by the whole ordeal of having his music stolen, T.Rone still continued to release a slew of regional hit singles. In 2004, he released the monster hit single "Outside Pussy.”  With outlandish lyrics like "I wanna fuck yo' bitch, I got pussy but I’m hooked on that outside pussy," the city was ranting, "He's back!” Even with several years passing, the record remains a club favorite.
And over the years, T.Rone has collaborated with some of the top names in the industry, including Gucci Mane, 2Chainz, Stevie J, and Shawn J. “I am a very original, edgy artist. My lyrics are raw,” he explains. “My tracks can easily be slipped into any club rotation without stopping the party.”
And he keeps the party rocking on his sophomore project, The Bad Guy Part 1. The album’s lead single “Stop It!” is another club beast produced by Mell of 250+ Productions. These back-to-back gems earned T. Rone Artist of the Year and Club Banga of the Year at the Duval Diamond Awards. He is also a four-time Diamond Award Hit Maker of the Year.
But it was his momentous album The Return of SugaKat which truly demonstrated his versatility on hit singles “Cocaine Cowgirl” and “Big Man.”
And on the steamy sexy “Taste Your Love,” T.Rone showcases his singing ability to carry a tune with the best of them.
But his greatest musical feat to date is upcoming album The Cup of Lust. He has already been turning up temperatures with the album’s lead single “Cocaine Cowgirl” remix featuring 2 Chainz, which has been one of the top five downloads on Digiwaxx. And he continues to keep it sexy on the super seductive “F@#% You Love.” The track is laid down by Jacksonville-based super-producer MGeeZy, whose resume includes Yo Gotti, Bun-B, Gucci Mane and T-Pain as well as star rock bands Counting Crows and Limp Bizkit.
“'Hello Love' is one of the biggest records I’ve heard in awhile, indie or major.” - DJ Q45 B.E.T.
With such sex-charged singles, T.Rone has had the ladies going crazy and thus, earning the alias “Lord of Lust.” But just because he knows how to make the finer sex swoon, T.Rone shows his many dimensions on such album heat seekers as “Quarter Mill” featuring 28, “Main Thang,” “Molly Party” featuring Ct and “Damn Right” featuring Swordz.
“I’m not out to compete with those in my hometown, I’m out to compete with the world,” T. Rone warns. “The music business is just that- a business and I intend to excel.
